Virpazar

Virpazar and National Park Skadar Lake – The settlement of Virpazar was formed at the confluence of the rivers Orahovstica and Crmnica. By merging, they build a spring and create the river Virstica, which flows into Lake Skadar. Virpazar also has three stone bridges, sung in old folk songs.

The famous picnic area is the main transit station for cruising the largest lake in the Balkans and for visiting cultural and historical monuments, monasteries and fortifications concentrated on picturesque islands called Gorice. If you happen to be here in December, visit the Wine and Dish Festival, an event where everyone enjoys a unique ambience with indigenous varieties of wine and fish specialties that are habitats of Skadar Lake.
